Blur were SO great. A good 2hr set spanning their career, and everyone was really into it – the audience were respectful but went absolutely nuts, and the band looked like they were having the time of their lives. Gorgeous outdoor setting too. I hope the other gigs are as much fun as this one – it’s beautiful to be in a big crowd dancing and going nuts without anyone using it to get malicious. The encore even saw everyone in the stands throw their cushions towards the stage, filling the sky and showering the stage with red and green – and the band seemed to love it!

Today we went up the mountain (Fourvière) and checked it out… It was full of gorgeous views, gardens and a big cathedral. Then it started pouring, so we took refuge in a maccas (who, in France, serve beer!) and chilled at the hotel. Here’s some pictures. Next stop Blur, then onto Paris!
